It is a good question. So let us try to figure out the answer.
Nowadays, many teenagers are trying to copy their idols with clothes, actions, makeup, etc. Some even attempt to change their sexual orientation to support the mainstream. For instance, one of my online girlfriends became gay because it is "fashionable" in Europe.
At the same time, I am certain that we should use our idols for inspiration. We can learn from their helpful hobbies or follow their advice. For example, I enjoy watching Brian Tracy's videos about motivation and self-discipline. I always experience incredibly positive emotions and thoughts. I have started to write my own goals every morning and visualize my wishes since I saw his performance for the first time. From my point of view, such actions help us understand our hidden or unknown desires.
On the other hand, many people do not like studying or improving their own talents. It is disheartening when people waste their time watching TV or playing video games. Every person in the world is unique and gifted, so it is our duty to reveal our potential. Somebody can make marvelous art, another one might be a computer genius with a fantastic imagination. We must share our abilities and talents with the world and try to make it better.
In conclusion, I would like to say that being yourself is a good thing. We just have to show our true souls and nature without a shell and without fears.
